Hortiki Plants Founder, Victoria LeBeaux, PhD, Celebrates Super Bowl LIX Superfan Award and Inspiring New Orleans Experience
Washington, DC – February 12 – Victoria LeBeaux, PhD, founder of Hortiki Plants, recently returned from an exhilarating trip to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, where she was honored with the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Superfan Grant Award. The award recognized Hortiki Plants' commitment to sustainability, education, and community impact.
The trip provided Dr. LeBeaux with a unique opportunity to connect with fellow award winners and the Verizon team, fostering a sense of community and shared passion. "It was an incredible honor to be recognized," Dr. LeBeaux stated, "and to connect with so many inspiring individuals."
In addition to attending the Superbowl, a highlight of the experience was the "For The Win" event, hosted by Verizon. The event featured a lineup of prominent speakers, including Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon, and New Orleans Saints players Demario Davis and Deuce McAllister, among others.
Dr. LeBeaux was particularly delighted to speak with NFL Commissioner Goodell about initiatives like NFL Play 60 and his work with the Boys and Girls Club. "It was truly encouraging to learn about the NFL's commitment to youth and community," Dr. LeBeaux remarked. "I'm excited to explore a partnership with the NFL Play 60 initiative to deliver hands-on, STEM-based gardening activities that directly support their goal encouraging of 60 minutes of daily outdoor play for kids."
Additionally, the Super Bowl LIX experience further energized Dr. LeBeaux's commitment to advocating for small businesses in partnership with Verizon. Following her return, Dr. LeBeaux is honored to speaking at Verizon's upcoming Black History event, continuing her collaboration with the company.
