Hortiki Plants Receives Small and Minority Business Certifications from Prince George’s County, Maryland

Capitol Heights, MD: On October 14, 2022, Hortiki Plants, an online retailer of organic garden kits, was awarded certifications as a small, minority business by the Supplier Development & Diversity Division of Prince George’s County, Maryland (PG County).

Hortiki Plants is now dual certified in PG County Maryland  as a County Based Minority Business Enterprise and as a County Based Small Business.  These certifications allow small businesses access to preferred procurement and contracting opportunities. With these certifications, Hortiki Plants is better positioned to successfully do business with Prince George's County.

“Our ecofriendly garden products and educational offerings align well with many of the County’s sustainability and educational objectives” says Hortiki Plants Founder, Dr. Victoria LeBeaux. “Since expanding our operation to Prince George’s County we have significantly increased our production capacity and are ready to take on larger contracts. We look forward to partnering with the County to enhance its urban agriculture, science education, and environmental restoration goals while also providing jobs to local PG County residents in our 4,000 sq ft facility.”
